Terms of Use
Last updated: November 3, 2026. Back to Karaoke Queue!
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Deus Core ("we", "us") about Karaoke Queue! at karaoke.deuscore.net, including the free version and Pro passes (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Copyright Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
These Terms add to the Deus Core Terms of Service, which cover all Deus Core apps. For Karaoke Queue!, if the two conflict, these Terms win.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use it with a parent or guardian's permission, and only an adult may buy a Pro pass.
2. Karaoke Queue! is only a tool
Karaoke Queue! is party software: a queue that lets guests line up songs and a player screen for the host's TV. It is a tool, like a media player or a web browser.
- We don't provide any music. We don't host, store, sell, license or supply any songs, videos, karaoke tracks, lyrics or other media, and there is no built-in song library.
- Links play from where they're hosted. When someone pastes a video link, the video plays in that video site's own embedded player, streamed from that site. We never copy, download, convert, record or re-host it.
- We don't check what you play. We don't review, approve or monitor the songs, files or links people use, and we aren't responsible for them. What you choose to play is your decision and your responsibility.
3. Your songs, files and links
You are fully responsible for everything you play, add, paste or share using the Service ("your content"). You promise that:
- you own, or have all the permissions and licenses needed for, any file you play and any use you make of it;
- any link you add points to content that was lawfully made available by the person who posted it, and you won't add links you know or suspect infringe someone's rights;
- your use of the Service, your content and your party don't break any law or anyone else's rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity rights).
Nothing in these Terms gives you any rights in anyone else's music, videos or lyrics.
4. Private parties vs public or commercial use
The Service is designed for private parties with family and friends. If you use it anywhere else, such as a bar, restaurant, venue, business, event, school, stream or anywhere the public can attend or hear it, or anywhere you charge money, it is your responsibility to get every license that kind of use needs (for example public performance licenses from performing rights organizations, and any synchronization, mechanical or venue licenses). We don't provide any such licenses, and buying a Pro pass doesn't include any.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to infringe copyrights or other rights, or to share, promote or point people to pirated or unlawfully copied content;
- try to download, rip, record, convert or extract audio or video through the Service, or hide, crop, cover or change any embedded video player;
- use offensive, hateful, threatening or sexual names or song titles, or harass, bully or impersonate anyone;
- break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, attack or get around the limits or security of the Service, or use bots or automated tools against it;
- share, resell or publish Pro pass keys, host QR codes or other access you were given;
- try to get around a block, ban or removal (for example by using a different connection);
- use the Service for anything illegal.
Hosts can remove people and songs from their own party. We may remove content, block links, and block connections or Pro passes that we believe break these Terms, at any time and without notice.
6. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers
We respect copyright and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, follow the steps in our Copyright Policy.
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material or link. Deus Core maintains a policy of restricting or ending access for people who repeatedly infringe copyright. We consider the circumstances, severity, frequency and history of reported violations when deciding what to do, and may block connections and Pro passes without warning (see the repeat-infringer policy). Sending false notices or counter-notices may make you liable for damages.
7. Linked videos and other services
Videos from links are provided by the sites that host them, not by us. They play in those sites' own embedded players, which are governed by those sites' terms and privacy policies. Many links play through YouTube's embedded player: by using that feature you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Some videos can't be played outside their own site; those are skipped.
The Service also relies on Cloudflare (hosting and security) and Lemon Squeezy (payments). We aren't responsible for third-party sites, players or services, or for content they provide, and a link working today may stop working.
8. Your own video files (.mp4)
- The host can choose a folder of .mp4 files on their own device. Those files are played only by the browser on that device; they are never uploaded to us or sent to other people's devices. Only the file names are shared with the party so guests can pick songs.
- To show them on a TV, the host connects that device to the TV (for example with HDMI) or casts its screen. The TV-screen feature of Karaoke Queue! does not play folder songs.
- Playing a file locally doesn't make it lawful to use. You must own the files or have permission to use them, and public or commercial playback may need licenses (see section 4).
- We don't see, check or approve these files. If we ever add a feature that sends files between devices, we'll describe it here before it's available.
9. Pro passes
- Pro passes are sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record and handles payment, receipts, sales tax and any refund payment. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- A pass lasts for the period shown when you buy it (1, 3, 6 or 12 months), starting when your pass key is issued, and does not renew automatically.
- A pass gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Pro features while it lasts. You may not share, sell or transfer it. One pass runs one party at a time.
- Pro is software only. It adds party features (bigger limits, more host remotes, tournament mode and future Pro features). It doesn't include, sell, license or unlock any songs, videos or lyrics. Pasting video links works exactly the same in the free version and in Pro; you never pay to watch a video.
- Refunds: email support@deuscore.net within 14 days of buying, with your order number. If you haven't started a Pro party with the pass, we'll normally refund it in full. If you have used it, we may give a partial refund or none, depending on how much was used. Refunds are made through Lemon Squeezy. Nothing here limits refund rights the law where you live gives you.
- If we block a pass for breaking these Terms, the remaining time is not refunded, unless the law requires it.
- We may change Pro features or prices for future purchases. A pass you already bought keeps working for its period.
10. Changes and ending
We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service at any time. Parties are temporary and are deleted automatically (see the Privacy Policy). You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or block your access if you break these Terms or if we need to in order to protect the Service, other people or ourselves. Sections 2–8 and 11–15 still apply after your use ends.
11. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT ANY LINK OR FILE WILL PLAY, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS LAWFUL, ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Nothing on this site is legal advice.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, DEUS CORE AND ITS OWNER, CONTRACTORS AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, YOUR CONTENT, ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, LINK OR SERVICE, OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT BE MORE THAN THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) US $20.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that can't be limited or excluded by law (for example for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.
13. Your responsibility to us (indemnity)
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Deus Core and its owner, contractors and partners from any claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable lawyers' fees) arising from: your content (including any file you play or link you add); your use of the Service, including any public or commercial use; your breaking these Terms; or your violating any law or anyone else's rights, including copyright. This doesn't apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these Terms, negligence or wrongful conduct.
14. Disputes
Before filing any claim, please email support@deuscore.net so we can try to solve the problem informally within 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Deus Core is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, where the law allows that limit.
15. General
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Copyright Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You can't transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to someone who takes over the Service. We may update these Terms; we'll change the date at the top, and if you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new Terms.
